Farm Safety Workshop

Hosted by the Spirit of Charity Foundation
In partnership with Sugar Roots Farm

Join us for a FREE, hands-on Farm Safety Education Day designed to help farmers, farm workers, homesteaders, community gardeners, and anyone interested in learning practical emergency response skills.

Farms often operate in remote areas where cell phone service may be limited, emergency responders can take longer to arrive, and immediate medical help isn't always nearby. In these situations, knowing what to do in the first few minutes after an injury can make a significant difference in the outcome. This workshop focuses on practical skills that can help you respond effectively until professional medical care arrives.

Led by Dr. Patrick Greiffenstein, a trauma surgeon with 13 years of experience treating severe injuries in high-pressure environments, this educational program combines real-world safety knowledge with life-saving emergency response techniques.

Participants will learn:

  • Stop the Bleed techniques

  • Burn injury response and care

  • Ladder safety and fall prevention

  • Snake bite first aid

  • EpiPen administration and emergency response

Whether you work on a farm, care for animals, maintain rural property, or simply want to be better prepared for emergencies, this workshop will provide valuable skills you can take home and use immediately.
